Donna’s Emporium presents complimentary in-store events to the public throughout the year that feature local speakers knowledgeable in Victorian traditions and lifestyle, and other topics of interest to our customers.

A recent event, held on August 24, highlighted “Victorian Clothing.”  Jeannie Scheerbaum, educator, costume designer, costume consultant, and former owner of Jeannie’s Costumes presented the discussion on Victorian high fashion.  She showed a collection of antique and reproduction dresses.

On December 17, Donna's Emporium held its first "Shopping Day for the Kids,"  as part of West Reading's Holiday Glow celebration.   There was popcorn and apple cider and a stocking filled with goodies for each child.  All our customers were greeted merrily at the door and received a heaping dose of goodwill and cheer from our own Christmas elf.
